La población de Torredembarra, situada 15 kilómetros al norte de Tarragona, es la sede de la penúltima etapa del Campeonato de Catalunya de Vòlei Playa de este año. Las pruebas del Vichy Catalan Volei Tour y del Open FCVb se disputaran el fin de semana del 19 y 20 de agosto en la playa de la Paella, siguiendo el esquema de todo el campeonato, que se puede ver aquí: http://bit.ly/VichyCatalan2017.

Las inscripciones para la prueba de Torredembarra se pueden hacer a través de este enlace hasta el jueves a las 12 del mediodía para la prueba profesional y hasta una hora antes del inicio de la competición para las pruebas Open.

Torredembarra como destinación turística

La ciudad es especialmente conocida por el Espacio Natural dels Muntanyans (ver aquí la información) y por el espectacular faro, que se levanta cerca de 60 metros sobre el nivel del mar. También destaca por el importante patrimonio indiano, que los inscritos al Open FCVb i al Vichy Catalan Volei Tour podrán conocer en una visita guiada de 1’30 h. que se hará el sábado 18 a partir de las 19:30 horas. Los interesados en esta propuesta, que tiene un coste de 3 euros por persona, no los 5 euros habituales (para realizar la actividad tiene que haber un mínim de 5 insritos y un máximo de 20), tienen que reservar no más tarde del 16 de agosto, enviando un mail a fporta@fcvolei.cat

Otro atractivo turístico y de ocio es el tren turístico. Cómo llegar a Torredembarra

Tanto desde la capital catalana como desde Tarragona se llega a Torredembarra fácilmente en tren, gracias a la céntrica estación local de trenes de la red regional y los trenes exprés. En vehículo privado, el acceso se hace a través de la autopista AP-7 (salida 32, Altafulla/Torredembarra) i por la carretera N-340.

Vichy Catalan Volei Tour 2017 faces its final strecht

The town of Torredembarra, located about 15 kilometres north of Tarragona, will host the second to last phase of the Catalonia Championship of beach volley. Both Vichy Catalan Volei Tour and Open FCVb will be played August 19th and 20th on the Paella beach, according to the usual framework of the whole tournament that can be consulted here: http://bit.ly/VichyCatalan2017.

The necessary registration to take part in the Torredembarra event can be done through this link until Thursday, August 17th at 12 noon.

Torredembarra as a tourist destination

Torredembarra is especially well known thanks to the “Espai Natural dels Muntanyans” natural area (click aquí for information) and to the spectacular lighthouse built in late 20th century, that reaches up to 60 metres on the sea level. It is also famous its architectonical heritage, that participants of both Open FCVb and Vichy Catalan Volei Tour can discover with a 1,30h lasting guided tour on Saturday, August 18th at 7.30 pm. Interested players please e-mail us at fporta@fcvolei.cat not later than Wednesday, August 16th (the activity costs 3 euro instead of the usual 5 euro and there is a limitation of 20 participants and a minimum of 5).

Also interesting, especially for those players who travel to Torredembarra with the whole family, is the tourist train (kids up to 5 years of age pay only 1 euro instead of 2,50, with previous reservation through the above mentioned e-mail address).

How to reach Torredembarra
