Empuriabrava, situado en el municipio de Castelló d’Empúries, acoje los días 2 y 3 de septiembre la última prueba del Vichy Catalan Volei Tour 2017, tras siete etapas que han llevado el Campeonato de Cataluña a localidades del litoral catalán como Cunit o Lloret de Mar.

El torneo, que por segundo año consecutivo organiza la Federación Catalana de Voleibol con el patrocinio de la conocida marca de aguas Vichy Catalan, vivirá el sábado 2 la fase previa y al día siguiente las finales, tanto femenina como masculina. En esta última prueba, que cierra la edición 2017 del campeonato, participarán las 12 mejores parejas, masculinas y femeninas, del circuito.

El mejor voley playa se verá así el primer fin de semana de septiembre, tanto en la playa de Empuriabrava como en el resto de Cataluña: el canal Esport 3 de la televisión pública catalana emitirá las dos finales en directo, el domingo por la tarde.

Empuriabrava como destino turístico

La marina residencial que constituye Empuriabrava cuenta con unos 24 km de canales interiores, lo que la convierte en el área de estas características más grande del mundo. Además de un aeródromo privado, que permite la práctica de paracaidismo deportivo, dispone de una playa de 1,5 km de longitud, lo que hace de Empuriabrava un destino turístico de primer orden, conocido en toda Europa.

Cómo llegar a Castelló d’Empúries y Empuriabrava

La autopista AP-7 es la vía más rápida para acceder a esta población de la comarca del Alt Empordà (salida 4). També se puede llegar por la carretera N-260 en dirección a Figueres y la carretera C-26.

The best beach volleyball players perform at the Catalonia Championship in Empuriabrava

Located in Castelló d’Empúries, Empuriabrava will host on September 2nd and 3rd the last matches of the Vichy Catalan Volei Tour 2017. The seven previous stages of the tournament have been played in different towns of the Catalan coast, like Cunit or Lloret de Mar.

The preliminary round of the tournament will be played on Saturday 2nd by its best 12 couples, whereas the final matches, both women’s and man’s, will be held on Sunday 3rd. The championship has been organized for the second consecutive year by the Catalan Federation of Volleyball with the sponsorship of Vichy Catalan.

The final matches will be broadcast by the Catalan tv station Esport 3 on Sunday afternoon.

Empuriabrava is located in the Golf of Roses and surrounded by the Natural Park Aiguamolls de l’Empordà. It is the largest residential marina in Europe, with about 24 km of navigable waters. How to reach Castelló d’Empúries and Empuriabrava

The motorway AP-7 is the fastest way to arrive in Empuriabrava (take exit 4). Drivers can also use the national road N-260 to Figueres and then change to C-26.
